April’s oldest daughter, Kim, trusted her mother as one trusts a best friend and because Kim lived with her mom was helpful in many different areas. April’s youngest daughter, Laurie, truly was the baby of the family. Laurie took care of her mother, April, most days while everyone else worked, and she counted it a joy to be able to have the opportunity to do so. Jerry was a momma’s boy through and through and because of this they had an extremely tight bond. Losing a mother is pain that cannot be described in words and all three of her children will miss her every day. Warren was a member of the Bethel Reformed Church, Little Rock, and served as Deacon and Elder.

Mr. James Earl Jeffries, age 89 of Jacksonville, passed away Saturday, September 24, 2022. He was born in Russellville, Alabama to the late Edward and Hattie Helms Jeffries.

Ms. Geraldine was originally from Pelham, Georgia but spent time in North Carolina and Jacksonville before settling in Baldwin eleven years ago. A very sociable, people-oriented person, she worked for some time in the catering industry. In her later years she enjoyed sharing her love of Jesus while hosting bible studies in her home. She loved her family and was devoted to her grandchildren. April greatly loved her three children and had a unique relationship with each one.

Kenneth Gann 78, passed from this Earthly life into the arms of Jesus on Monday October 3, 2022, peacefully, after a long battle with cancer. Melissa Lee Cox, daughter of Jimmy Todd, Jr. and Wilma Livingston, passed away October 4, 2022. Melissa was considered the life of the party and was always thinking of others.

Later in life, he was compelled to enroll in divinity school where he earned a master's degree in religion and philosophy. He was a lay-pastor around the region with the United Methodist Church serving parishes in Cortland, Triumph and Troy Grove. Such sad news today….heart breaking for all the family.

Ms. Mary Nell Godbold, age 93 of Jacksonville, passed away Monday, September 12, 2022. Originally from Odum, Georgia, Ms. Godbold was a longtime Jacksonville resident.
