He continued high school at Ellsworth High School, graduating in 1979. During his youth, he helped his father with the daily operation of the family farm and also worked with Drs. Larson and Collins, veterinarians, in Rock Rapids, with larger jobs.

April’s oldest daughter, Kim, trusted her mother as one trusts a best friend and because Kim lived with her mom was helpful in many different areas. April’s youngest daughter, Laurie, truly was the baby of the family. Laurie took care of her mother, April, most days while everyone else worked, and she counted it a joy to be able to have the opportunity to do so. Jerry was a momma’s boy through and through and because of this they had an extremely tight bond. Losing a mother is pain that cannot be described in words and all three of her children will miss her every day. Warren was a member of the Bethel Reformed Church, Little Rock, and served as Deacon and Elder.

Mrs. Alice Nell Holmes, age 81 of Bryceville, passed away Sunday, December 11, 2022, at Macclenny Nursing and Rehab after an extended illness. She was born in Homerville, Georgia and had been a Bryceville resident since 1974. Mrs. Holmes was employed by Revlon, Inc. until the time of her retirement in 2006.

He was an engineer and had been employed by CSX Railroad for thirty-three years at the time of his retirement. Mr. Sabiston was an avid fisherman who especially enjoyed marlin fishing and participating in and winning kingfish tournaments. If “twintuition” really is a thing, April and Dawn definitely had it. April also had two biological grandchildren, John and Devann, whom she was very close to and like the rest of the family, they will miss her immensely.
In his free time he enjoyed cooking for his family and knew everything about football. He would spend time fishing with his children and friends. David was also passionate about caring for his exotic fish and cats.
